This activity is presented as part of the Journées de la culture and Kollectif's "Hey, salut l'archi!"initiative, a province-wide program of architectural visits that introduces the public to architecture, design and the built environment across Québec.

As part of the Journées de la culture, KANVA invites you to visit the new Sun Youth | Jeunesse au Soleil building, one of the first carbon-neutral community buildings in Canada. Designed to support the organization's mission of serving youth, families, and the wider community, this innovative facility demonstrates how architecture can foster social impact.
Guided tours will be led by Tudor Radulescu and Rami Bebawi, co-founders of KANVA, along with members of the KANVA team who were involved throughout every stage of the project, from design to completion. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the building's spaces, review architectural drawings, and learn about the architectural, social, and environmental thinking that shaped this unique mass timber building.
The tour will take on special significance through Tudor's long-standing relationship with Sun Youth. A former basketball player with the organization, Tudor has continued to give back as a volunteer coach for many years.
Following the tour, participants of all ages will be invited to take part in basketball activities in the building's beautiful gymnasium, organized in collaboration with the Sun Youth team.
Visitors are also welcome, if they wish, to bring non-perishable food items and/or make a monetary donation to support the organization's community initiatives.
