INAUGURATION DE L'AGRANDISSEMENT DU COLLÈGE ST-HILAIRE

PROJET | Ce samedi, nous avons célébré l'inauguration de l'aggrandissement du Collège St-Hilaire. Après plus de 4 ans de design et construction, nous sommes très fiers de voir le projet complété et nous avons hâte de le partager avec vous!

PROJECT | This Saturday, we celebrated the inauguration of the expansion of College St-Hilaire. Just over 4 years in the making, we are very proud to see the project completed and are looking forward to sharing it with you all soon!

BIODOME SELECTED AS 2022 ARCHITIZER A+AWARDS WINNER!

AWARD | We are honoured to announce that the Biodome Science Museum as been selected as both the Popular choice Winner and Jury Winner in the Cultural, Museum category in the 2022 Architizer A+Awards. With entries from over 80 countries, the Biodome is the only Canadian project to have won in the Cultural category. This is a wonderful achievement and we thank all those with who we collaborated to make the project possible!

CO-HABITATS

PROJET | Pour le Jour de la Terre, nous dévoilons CO-HABITATS, une installation d’art public éphémère provenant de recherches cumulatives menées par KANVA et de nombreux collaborateurs internationaux. Avec l’objectif de mettre en évidence les circonstances écologiques actuelles, l’installation remet en question la domination du territoire par l’humain et souligne la nécessité d’adopter une attitude biocentrique, plus inclusive envers les autres espèces vivantes. Ces questions, qui sont le résultat de la distillation d’années de recherche pour en extraire l’essence, se déploient comme un paysage textuel, provoquant une réaction, une émotion.

PROJECT | For Earth Day, we unveil CO-HABITATS, an ephemeral public art installation and manifesto emerging from cumulative research led by KANVA and international collaborators. With the goal of raising awareness on current ecological circumstances, the installation challenges the domination of territory by humans and outlines the necessity to adopt a more inclusive, biocentric attitude towards other living beings. Questions, distilled from years of research, unfold as a textual landscape, provoking a reaction, an emotion.

Après 10 belles années auprès de KANVA, Olga Karpova se tourne vers de nouveaux défis. Passionnée et dévouée, son énergie communicative et son grand enthousiasme nous manquerons au quotidien.

Toute l’équipe lui souhaite bonne chance dans cette nouvelle aventure. Nous sommes convaincus qu’elle continuera à nous épater à travers ses futurs projets !

After 10 successful years with KANVA, Olga Karpova is moving on to new challenges. Passionate and devoted, we will miss her communicative energy and her great enthusiasm.

KANVA ACCUEUILLE UNE NOUVELLE MEMBRE PERMANENTE À SON ÉQUIPE !

Nous sommes heureux de vous présenter Myriam Rostom, nouvelle membre de l’équipe KANVA. Myriam nous a rejoint cet été, suite à l’obtention de son Baccalauréat en Architecture à l’université McGill. Son enthousiasme, dévouement et son sérieux font d’elle un réel atout dans la collaboration de nombreux projets et dans le quotidien du bureau. Nous nous souhaitons une aventure commune enrichissante.

We are pleased to introduce Myriam Rostom, a new member of the KANVA team. Myriam joined us this summer, following the completion of her Bachelor of Architecture at McGill University. Her enthusiasm, dedication and seriousness make her a real asset in the collaboration of many projects and in the daily work of the office. We wish us a rewarding common adventure.

Interview with Rami Bebawi on TRACES, CKUT Wednesday Morning After

This morning, Rami Bebawi was interviewed on CKUT’s Wednesday Morning After, where he discussed the different scales of KANVA’s projects and the concept and creative direction of TRACES. “What we want to put forward are different narratives and experiences that are meaningful (…) we put forward art to complement architecture, to dilute the boundaries between art and architecture.” He explains. “Traces captures the symbolism, delicateness between extinction and life, urgency and memory”
