‘‘BLUE IS THE NEW GREEN’’ -Dale Cools is a winter time installation which invites the public to embrace its nordicity through a landscape fragment. The installation’s context, in constant change, thus modulates its shapes and components according to natural phenomena. Its shape and materials stem from nature, inviting visitors to a sensorial rediscovery. The dense visual and acoustic atmosphere, the smell of the evergreens, and the cracking of the ice create a break with the urban environment of Montreal’s old port. The juxtaposition between these two worlds reminds us of the inherent fragility of such Nordic landscapes.
